Varnish with defacing protection for banknotes
Ultra+™ is an enhanced post-print varnish of our successful Ultra™ varnish.
Ultra+™ varnish includes advanced additives technologies that protect against unintentional and deliberate defacing.
Ultra+™ is the final achievement of a long research work aiming at delivering a high antisoiling product for the end user as well as novel functionalities like marking deterrence but mitigating at the same time the total carbon footprint.
This performance is reached with highly engineered additives formulated within proven varnish used all over the world for banknotes protection.
The application process of Ultra+™ is the same as for standard post-print varnishes (flexography press).
Both the substrate of the note and the print on it are protected.
Ultra+™ varnish is resistant to soiling with hydrophobic and oleophobic properties and provides unique protection against intentional defacing.
Due to selected new additives, Ultra+™ varnish is greener than Ultra™ varnish.
